Public Safety is one of my top priorities on City Council. I have heard from many constituents that speeding has become an issue on some of the major streets in District A. Due to the increase in calls I have received in my office, I allocated funds to purchase a new speed trailer for HPD’s Northwest Division.

This trailer will be placed along various streets to remind drivers of the speed limit. The trailer also will be able to store information so that our HPD officers can see what times of day people are most likely to speed. This will be used as a tool for enforcement.

Please note, the North Division already has a speed trailer, so that is why I only allocated funds for the Northwest Division at this time.
