ReBuild HoustonThe City of Houston Department of Public Works and Engineering has completed a $9.5 million Neighborhood Street Reconstruction (NSR) Project in the Spring Branch area. The project, which improved drainage in the community, replaced existing residential streets that have deteriorated beyond economical repair and normal maintenance.

The project, completed in March 2013, involved the design and construction of concrete paving with storm drainage, curbs, sidewalks, driveways, street lighting and necessary underground utilities.

I will move to silber rd in two months and I didn’t see any single improvement in this street. The are so many old empty businesses building that needs to be removed from this building.
I love the place that we bought but I hate of the apperance of silber rd.

Please don’t forget to add silber rd to your re-build plan.

    Thanks

I too did not see any much needed improvements in the plans for Silber. It is a very busy road with many new residential construction projects going on. When is it going to be included in any Spring Branch improvement plan?

The comprehensive plan will be released soon and you will be able to see all the long range transportation plans which cover all major arteries.

Thank you for your response. We are building in the subdivision of Westview Terrace between Silber and Post Oak and will be moving to the area in early summer 2015. I have been researching plans for street improvements and much needed drainage improvements. I have contacted the city but no response yet. Are you aware of any drainage improvements in this subdivision? Its quite a mess throughout the subdivision with no drains working properly. Thank you for your time.
