Dear Chris,
During the recent freeze, the strength and resilience of our community shone. With your support, my Precinct 4 team and I worked tirelessly to keep our residents safe.
Around the clock—our Road & Bridge team cleared and treated bridges, while our community center staff and resource navigators worked at our warming centers and shelter. Together, we ensured help reached those who needed it most.
Thanks to the outpour of donations from our partners and generous residents, we provided warm meals, blankets, care packages, clothing, and more to those in need. Your support made a world of difference.
As we move forward, I’m excited to celebrate the connections that unite us. This February, join us for events like Go Texan Day and our annual Senior Valentine’s Day Dance – sign up now by calling the Weekley Community Center. You can also attend our 2025 Annual Black History Month Luncheon: Celebrating Local Community Leaders. Registration is limited, so please do so in advance. Visit ourevents page to learn more.
Let’s continue to build on these connections, celebrate what unites us, and know that together, we can weather any storm that comes our way.
All my best,
Lesley Briones |
