The Economic Development Committee meets every 2nd Wednesday at the District offices [9600 Long Point, Suite 250] from 1:30 pm-2:30 pm.

The District has been very proactive in marketing the area as the place for community and business to thrive. Now that Spring Branch has been “found” the District is loudly declaring that the area is [Open for Business]. The Economic Development Committee is dedicated to supporting the business community through promotion across various social media sites, the District website, and eblasts, spotlight stories written by professional writers, and façade improvement assistance with the Business Improvement Grants (BIG).

Business Improvement Grants

The Board of Directors for the Spring Branch Management District (SBMD) has established and funded the Business Improvement Grant to provide funds for commercial property owners within the District’s boundaries, in support of revitalization on a case-by-case basis. Grants are available on a 50/50 basis with a $10,000 cap per grant. Approved projects must complement the color and character of surrounding businesses and must meet the City’s Code of Ordinances.
