September 13th was a very special day for the students at Ridgecrest Elementary as they helped us celebrate our third Public Safety Outreach Multi-Family Day. Through this event, the Spring Branch District and our law enforcement agencies, want to encourage residents to come out and learn more about how the agencies operate and what they can do to assist the community with public safety related issues. The idea is for students to interact with our law enforcement partners in a friendly, safe setting. The kids danced, officers made presentations, actors read stories, a clown coordinated games, and a robot, “Officer Defender”, spoke with the kids about the importance of being a responsible citizen.

Families also enjoyed visiting with community partners in attendance.  We want to thank AB1 Beauty School, Newspring, Crime Stoppers, Houston Police Department-Crime Prevention Specialists, and City Council Member, District A, Brenda Stardigand Ms. Doris Hinson, President of Ridgecrest Civic Association.
