Haden Park Improvements

The Management District contracted with SWA to create a comprehensive design for the complete revitalization of Haden Park, an existing 13-acre park located at the northeast corner of Long Point and Witte Road. The project will provide major improvements, especially to the undeveloped southern portion of the park along Long Point which is proposed as a “community” park. The park includes a small and large dog park, event lawn and stage, off-street parking, restrooms, a butterfly garden, pickle ball courts, and other amenities. Fundraising options are currently in discussion.

Spring Branch Hike & Bike Trail

Through a contract with the Houston Parks Board, the Management District began constructing the Spring Branch Hike & Bike Trail which was the subject of the 2020 Spring Branch Trail Study.

  • Phase 1 of the Trail has been constructed on the Centerpoint Easement from Wirt Rd to Blalock Rd.
  • Phase 2 has been designed and begins where the existing trail at Emnora ends, continuing west to Brittmoore. Phase 2 is currently awaiting final permits and completion of CenterPoint’s current tower replacement project and should begin construction in late 2023.
  • Phase 3 is in the early design phase as the Management District works with community partners to solidify the proposed alignment for the trail. Phase 3 will connect Phase 1 and Phase 2.
