Boil Water Notice

The City of Houston is under a boil water notice. Do no drink the water without boiling it first. Bring all water to a boil for at least two minutes. Let it cool before using.

The City is not shutting off water.  The boil water notice is due to low pressure, and they are required by law to issue this notice when the pressure gets below a certain level.

I am aware that a considerable amount of District A is without water.  I have no electricity or water either.  I have compiled a list of neighborhoods and streets that I am aware of without water and sent it to Houston Public Works to demand that the water is reinstated as soon as possible, but the power outages have hindered the City’s ability to produce treated drinking water.  They assured me that they are working to restore water pressure as soon as conditions allow.

Update about electricity: I have been told that this will last for the next couple of days.  As I stated in the last update, although this is controlled by the State, and they should have been better prepared, I will continue to get answers about when we can expect to be restored and will demand answers about how this happened once we are out of this disaster.  This is completely unacceptable!
