Such an honor to receive an award from the Red Cross for community disaster preparedness. We are doing everything we can to prepare District A for disasters that might come our way.
We welcomed the new Library Locker to the Carverdale Community Center! Now you can place a book on hold and pick it up from the community center!
Ribbon Cutting at Langwood Park to celebrate the new improvements to the park as part of Mayor Turner’s 50/50 Park Partnership Program. Thanks to Council Member David Robinson and Representative Penny Morales Shaw for joining us!
We hosted a Coffee with the Council Member event for Mayde Creek to discuss crime, infrastructure, trash, and more. Thanks to all of the neighbors who attended!
Groundbreaking of the new addition to Summerhouse in District A! Summerhouse offers community-based day services and supported employment services for people with an intellectual or developmental disability.
Commissioner Briones and I visited Freed Park. We met with the students in the summer program and discussed ways we can partner to improve the community center. Great to come together and leverage resources for our community!
The District A Team and I volunteered at the Houston ToolBank and put together a table that will be donated to SpringSpirit in District A. Thanks to our amazing constituent, Ron Delaney, for helping and to Mike, John, and the volunteers from Port Houston!
