Resources for District A

As District A continues to recover from the storm, we know that many are still without electricity and resources. Tornado-level/Category 2 hurricane-like winds went through Spring Branch and also caused outages in Inwood. Entire transmission towers fell or were damaged. Crews are working around the clock to restore power.

Although the City of Houston does not have direct jurisdiction over CenterPoint (that is handled at the State level), I am committed to serving our community with anything that is needed, including communicating with CenterPoint to get needed information. If you have any questions, concerns, or needs please contact us at [email protected] or 832-393-3010.

We are finalizing the details for two town halls for resources in the aftermath of the storm. One will be in Spring Branch, and one will be in Inwood. We will send that information out soon.

CenterPoint

CenterPoint continues to work tirelessly to restore power back to everyone. If you are still without electricity, please contact CenterPoint at 800-332-7143. Please also contact the District A office. Although we don’t have direct oversight over CenterPoint, we are tracking outages and working with CenterPoint to make sure they have all the information about outages in our area.

CenterPoint has released a Power Outage Tracker and Restoration Map, visit: bit.ly/PowerHOU   It is not a perfect map, but we wanted to share the information.

Storm Debris Removal

The Solid Waste Department started storm debris cleanup. Please be patient because there is a lot of debris, and it will take a while. Commissioner Ramsey and Commissioner Briones have both agreed to help with storm debris cleanup in our overlapping areas!! We are thankful for their partnership.
