District A Update: Hurricane Beryl

Earlier this morning, July 8th, 2024, Hurricane Beryl swept through the city and has resulted in widespread power outages, flooding, debris scattered on roads, and significant damage to properties.

According to reports from CenterPoint, over 2.1 million residents are currently without power in Houston. CenterPoint is aware of the areas that are without power and are working on these restoration efforts. CenterPoint advices that it is not necessary to call about an outage and only to call if there is a downed wire (713-207-2222).

As rain conditions begin to improve, it does not mean that it is safe to drive! Many streets throughout District A and the City of Houston are flooded. Never drive or walk through flood waters! It is unsafe!
