August 8 was Graduation Day for Iris and her partner, Deputy Chance Davis of the Harris County Constables Office. Iris and Deputy Davis were recognized for completing the K-9 Handler Course at the Harris County Sheriff’s Office academy in Humble. The female German Shepherd, two years and nine months old, has a keen interest in chasing tennis balls, a skill that should serve her well in her duties in Precinct One.
