After 24 years away from college, 47 year-old Stephanie Perry-Miles returned to school at HCC to obtain her degree and become more marketable in today’s society. After spending several years in the medical billing field and not advancing within her concentration, she decided to open her own medical billing practice. The power of networking landed her a contract with The Methodist Cardiology and Physicians Organization. Stephanie credits HCC with showing her that there is never a good reason to give up. She completed her first semester this spring and is currently enrolled in summer courses. Stephanie is also very appreciative to the staff for giving her the courage to pursue her dreams.
