Thank you!

Our February Mixer was a huge success! What a great way to kickoff to a new year with KASH! 2019 has much in store for our members, and we’re excited to embark on another year in our community! A huge thank you to the 40+ people who came out to the mixer – including members of the Filipino Young Professionals and the NA Asian American Professionals. Food and karaoke rooms were generously provided by Izakaya Hi. Izakaya Hi is a new small plate restaurant located near the Energy Corridor. If you have not had a chance – stop by and check it out! From the delicious food to the great conversation, the mixer – which started at 7PM – lasted until well after midnight. It was such a blast, no one wanted to leave! Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook for details on all our upcoming 2019 events.

KASH will once again field a team for the 2019 Dragon Boat Festival!

The Houston Dragon Boat Festival is held in the beautiful downtown Allen’s Landing Park and will feature cultural performances and live music throughout the day. Each team will participate in three races throughout the day.

Dragon boat racing is a canoe sport, and began as a modern international sport in Hong Kong in 1976. For races, there are 18-20 people in a standard boat, not including the steersperson (helm) and the drummer.

Registration is $25 for members and $40 for non-members (includes annual KASH membership). Fees will cover practice sessions, food and beverages at the festival, and a team t-shirt.
