Houston Public Works held a virtual meeting to update the public on the latest developments of the Antoine: US 290 to West Mount Houston Project.

Work Authorization has been issued for panel replacement on Victory Drive between Alabonson and Antoine. Construction has been scheduled to commence on March 6, 2025 and is anticipated to end in June.
At-Large 2 Council Member Davis is hosting a Town Hall in District A at the Trini Mendenhall Community Center. I will be attending along with other City of Houston departments.

We visited the Shadowdale Ditch to discuss concerns. Harris County Flood Control District is starting a project soon to fill in the holes along the ditch. In partnership with Commissioner Tom Ramsey, we are working on adding trees by Shadow Oaks Elementary!

I participated in a panel discussion for the Houston ToolBank at their summit with toolbanks across the country to discuss ways toolbanks can partner with local government.
Congratulations to the firefighters classes who graduated in March!
The graduation included:
27 cadets of Class 2024C who began their journey with HFD in June of 2024.
41 cadets of Fast Track Classes 2024E/2025A who began their journeys with HFD in October 2024 and January of this year. (A “Fast Track” Certified Firefighter/EMT cadet academy is made up of members who are State of Texas Firefighters and a Texas Department of State.)
Eight rehires who re-entered the academy on February 3rd of this year.
Tour of the Brenda and John Duncan YMCA and learned about the many services the facility offers!
It was a pleasure having students from the Harmony School of Achievement visit City Hall and learn about the inner workings of local government. It’s always great to see schools in District A visit.
