Car Racing on Long Point
Our office received many calls from concerned constituents regarding an ongoing car meet on Long Point.

HPD’s NW worked on this issue extensively. Outcomes included arrests, tickets, and cars/weapons being confiscated. I met with those affiliated with the organization as well to express the public safety concerns.

After HPD’s great work on this, the owners decided to discontinue the meets on Long Point! Thank you to HPD and all of the residents who contacted us.

It was a beautiful ceremony  for Houston Firefighter Marcelo “Ox” Garcia III who bravely served and unfortunately died in the line of duty. Forever grateful for his service. May his memory be a blessing to his family and friends.
I was proud to present a Proclamation to the Houston ToolBank as they celebrate 10 years of amazing service in the City of Houston!
