From Houston Parks Board:
Earlier this year, Houston Parks Board finished construction on the Vogel Creek Greenway between Victory Drive and Council Grove Lane. We are starting two new planning studies this year that build off the success of the Vogel Creek Greenway, and we would like you to be involved.
The first is the Vogel Creek Greenway Extension Study, which proposes a new trail along Vogel Creek from Victory Drive south to White Oak Bayou Greenway and from Council Grove Lane north to West Mount Houston Road. By extending the greenway, we aim to create a continuous, accessible path for recreation and connections.
The second is the Inwood Phase 2 Connector Trail Study, which proposes a new trail from White Oak Conference Center / Antoine Drive to White Oak Bayou Greenway via the Alabonson Hike-and-Bike Bridge. The trail aims to enhance the detention work being done by the Harris County Flood Control District.
We are starting engagement for both studies through attending existing community meetings. We are also planning a community meeting that focuses on the Vogel Creek Greenway Extension Study on Tuesday November 19th at 6 PM at First New Hope Bible Church, 5400 W Mt Houston Rd, Houston, TX 77088. Please plan to join us! |
