Water Quality Update

Houston Public Works began the process of shutting down groundwater wells. You may continue to notice smells as the well water makes it way through the system. Per Houston Public Works, the water is still safe to drink.

If you have individual concerns or questions about the water at your house, please contact 3-1-1 (or 713-837-0311) so that it can be investigated. If you prefer, you can send an email to [email protected] or use the 311 app to make a report.

Houston Public Works regularly tests the water to make sure it meets standards. So far, all of the water they tested has met the standards. If anything changes, a boil water notice could be issued. At this time, there are no boil water notices.

Please continue to report your concerns, and if you need additional assistance, please contact the District A office at 832-393-3010 or [email protected].

Water Leak Update

Please see the water leak update below from Houston Public Works. This has been a huge concern not only in District A but throughout the entire City. Millions of dollars have been allocated for overtime and emergency purchase orders to repair the leaks. While we are trending now in a better direction in the number of open leaks citywide, we still have a long way to go to tackle this issue. Please continue to report any water leak you see to 311. I will continue to work with Houston Public Works to prioritize fixing the leaks in our community.
