I would like to invite you to join Mayor Parker and friends for Bike to Work Day and to offer the City’s assistance in promoting Bike Month events you may be hosting.
May is National Bike Month and the City of Houston is celebrating. On May 15, 2015, the City is hosting a Bike to Work Day event with a celebratory bike ride. The ride route will start at City Hall from Hermann Square and explore a variety of bicycle facilities on Washington Avenue (shared lane marking), Silver Street (on street bike route), Spring Street (shared-use trail) and the Heights Hike and Bike Trail (MKT Trail, off-street shared use trail). In addition, during the month of May, BikeHouston is planning weekly group rides, one of which will join with the City’s Bike to Work Day ride into downtown. For more information on the City’s Bike to Work Day celebration, please visit www.HoustonBikeways.org.
In the spirit of Bike Month, the City wants to promote activities occurring throughout Houston, including those within your district. During April and May, the City will promote Bike Month events through the Bikeways Program website and other social media outlets. If you would like your Bike Month activities promoted by the City of Houston, please contact Anita Hollmann at firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:

We look forward to celebrating Bike Month and Bike to Work Day with you!
