Casey Kang, the visionary entrepreneur behind the project, had his eye on the property since 2018. “I was looking at this property for years, but it wasn’t until 2022 that I decided to take the leap,” Kang shared. Despite the price increasing over four years, the prime location—nestled between Beltway 8 and the 610 Loop—was too ideal to pass up.
The property underwent a dramatic transformation. “When I purchased it, the backyard was like a jungle—you couldn’t walk without stepping on bushes,” Kang explained. After a year and a half of renovations, the space now boasts a blend of modern functionality and unique architectural features, including a grand spiral staircase and expansive outdoor areas.

Attendees enjoyed a variety of gourmet foods, including tenderloin, shrimp, and fresh vegetables, all catered by Kang’s own restaurant. An assortment of wines complemented the evening’s offerings.
“The feedback was overwhelmingly positive,” Kang shared. “Everyone loved the unique architecture and the welcoming atmosphere. Event planners were especially excited about the potential for hosting weddings and special events here.”
Catherine Barchfeld-Alexander, a member of the VFW next door who attended the event, expressed her enthusiasm: “The co-working space is a beautiful establishment—so nice and unique. The structure itself has so much character. We talked about using this place ourselves. It’s rewarding to see such a vibrant space available to our community.”
