Houston is one of the nation’s most diverse cities, but did you know that this city hosts 70,000 refugees from 78 different countries? Celebrating this diversity, the University of St. Thomas is observing World Refugee Day this Saturday, June 13, honoring refugees’ “unrelenting perseverance and positivity.”

From 1 to 4 p.m., guests are welcome to visit the kids’ zone with bounce houses, snow cones, crafts and games along with cultural performances and educational exhibits chronicling “The Refugee Experience.”
