The owners of Unicorn Snow Cones, founded in the Spring Branch Management District, have opened a sweet and modern event space in the District that’s perfect for parties, baby showers, graduations, and any other special occasion that calls for a party. It also doubles as a photography studio.

Unicorn Society opened in a 1,300-square-foot updated warehouse at 2313 W Sam Houston Pkwy N, Suite 105, in February.

“It’s a beautiful white canvas space,” said owner Yesena Garcia, adding: “We named our event space the Unicorn Society because she is a part of our little society of unicorn businesses we have opened.”

The event space has been popular, she said, adding that they’ve already started booking dates as far ahead as May 2025.

“Life has been a whirlwind,” Garcia said.

This is the fifth year in business for Unicorn Snow Cones, opened by Garcia and her husband, Josh, and they plan to continue operating the snow cone business.

“We plan on opening our snow cone truck (at Unicorn Society) periodically and running our Unicorn Balloon business out of this space when she’s not being used for events,” Garcia said.

In addition to the snow cone truck, the balloon business and the event space, the Garcias offer a snow cone cart service as well as cotton candy, ice cream, gelato, churros, and popcorn and will be rolling out mini-pancakes this fall. They now have two trucks and five carts in their fleet that they send out to public and private events.

The Garcias opened Unicorn Snow Cones because they wanted to bring back a family tradition from their youth of weekend snow cones and cool treats — affordable family fun that would entertain parents and “make little kids squeal.”

Piled high with fluffy shaved ice, drenched in house-made sprinkles and syrups, and whipped clouds and gummy rainbows, each snow cone the Garcias make is an Instagram-worthy treat.

And, of course, at Unicorn Society, each event is equally magical, with layers of colorful decor creating the perfect backdrop for making sweet memories.
