Does she love a cold beer on the weekend?

The Spring Branch District’s 4J Brewing, 1348 Cedar Post Lane, is a women-owned and family-operated craft brewery with a great mom story.

The name 4J comes from the four “J” siblings – Jessica, Jackie, Joanna, and Jennifer. The youngest, referred to as “#4,” started home brewing with dad years ago, living by the motto “makin’ some and drinkin’ some.” The beer was always a hit at family events, so one day, “#4” and mom decided to steal dad’s hobby and shape it into a business.

They are not open on Sundays but you can take mom for a beer the day before Mother’s Day. Or, stop in and get some beers to-go for her to enjoy on the actual day.

Check out what they have on tap: https://www.4jbrewingcompany.com

Do you make her want to run away with the circus?

We’ve got something for that.

Cirque La Vie is a small circus troupe offering shows for events, festivals and special occasions. They also offer Circus Classes, including Aerial Arts, Flexibility, Ground Acrobatics and more at their Spring Branch District facility at 1905 Johanna Dr., Ste B1.

Cirque La Vie has a boutique and sells shoes and leggings and other apparel online: https://www.cirquelavie.net//shop.

So, even if she doesn’t run away, she can dress like a true circus artist and maybe spend a little time flying through the air like one.
