There is no better way to celebrate a holiday than with friends, family, and — of course — food. Easter Sunday in Houston (March 31) is no exception, with many locals planning to meet up for special meals with those they love.

For those who may not have finalized their Easter plans yet, the Spring Branch Management District’s restaurants and food stores offer a variety of options.

At Low Tide Kitchen & Bar, 2030A Bingle, the easier question might be what’s not on the menu. The list of items available for Easter brunch this Sunday includes chicken & sausage gumbo, Korean fried chicken, ribeye tacos, Crab Cake Benedict, and much, much more.

Easter brunch runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and costs $48 per person. A two-course kids’ menu is also available for $15.

A relatively new addition to the Spring Branch District dining scene, Wild Oats will offer a “bountiful” selection of Easter specials and favorites at its brunch buffet on Easter Sunday. The brunch costs $35 for grown-ups and $12 for kids under 12.

The buffet will feature items like chicken fried steak to Cowboy Cobb Salad to pork belly lettuce wraps — plus banana tres leches cake.

Warehouse 72

Easter is a major holiday in the Polish Catholic community and the Spring Branch District’s Polish Food Store & Deli is ready with all the “essentials” for your Polish Easter basket. The store even posted a visual on their Facebook page detailing all the items that traditionally go into the basket — and it’s not toys and candy.

Polish sausage, bread, cheese, ham, boiled eggs, lamb-shaped butter and salt are staples in the Polish Easter basket — and all are available at the store located at 1780 Blalock.

Polish Food Store & Deli will be closed on Easter Sunday but open every other day this week, including Holy Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

If you need something sweet after all that Polska kielbasa, place your order for NoPo Cafe’s festive and tasty Easter cookies, available via pre-order and pick-up now through Saturday.

Easter will be celebrated from morning to night on Sunday at Warehouse 72, 7620 Katy Freeway, starting with the restaurant’s regular brunch menu from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. but adding an Easter Egg Hunt for the little ones from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Feges BBQ

Easter dinner at Warehouse 72 will be served from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. All day long, the restaurant will offer a prime rib special featuring a 12-ounce herb and Dijon-crusted prime rib with whipped potatoes, grilled broccolini and horseradish for $46 per person.

The Easter Bunny himself is planning to make an appearance at Feges BBQ Spring Branch on Saturday when the restaurant hosts an Easter party starting with an egg hunt at 11 a.m. sharp. Later, there will be pictures with the Easter Bunny, face painting, balloon animals, crafts and more.

And, if you are hosting a gathering on Easter Sunday, it’s not too late to order food from Feges BBQ. But you will need to make some quick decisions. The deadline to order take-home items for Easter is Wednesday, March 27, at noon.

Among the options are loaded potato mash, hot-fat cornbread and Feges’ rum-raisin bread pudding.
