Have you checked the calendar recently? Did you know it’s Thanksgiving like NEXT WEEK?

I swear, yesterday was Halloween, but here we are, talking Black Friday deals and putting up holiday lights.

If, like me, you haven’t even thought about Thanksgiving dinner or which family recipes to use — and have no desire to do so, we’ve got a lifeline in the form of local restaurants, bakeries, and even a flower shop ready to help you make memories without messing up the kitchen.

In some cases, though, you’ll have to come to terms with the calendar date and make some selections—fast.

Place your order by Wednesday, Nov. 19, to make it a truly Texan Thanksgiving and pick up smoked turkey breast, pork ribs, and/or brisket from Feges BBQ Spring Branch.

Feges’ to-go menu also features pimento mac and cheese, Korean braised greens, loaded potato mash, hog fat cornbread, sweet and spicy sprouts, and Moroccan spiced carrots. Just reheat and serve!

Don’t forget to add the newly debuted Fluff Bake Bar Dutch apple pie to your order, too.

Orders can be placed online for pickup at the Spring Branch location, November 25–27: https://www.cognitoforms.com/FegesBBQ/ThanksgivingToGo2025.

If you’re heading out of town and want it delivered, use this Gold Belly link.

If you’re already going to pick up food from Feges, you might as well order dessert from Chef Christine Ha of The Blind Goat, located in the same shopping strip.

Ha is offering three show-stopping desserts made in-house with Chef’s signature twists on classics, including Rubbish Apple Pie — the pie that earned praise from Gordon Ramsay himself on MasterChef.

In addition, check out the Basque Burnt Cheesecake with a caramelized top and loaded Biscoff crumble or a Mexican classic with Vietnamese flavors — Coconut Pandan Tres Leches. Order here: https://www.theblindgoat.com/merch/catering-food

Lazy Oaks Beer Garden, 10158 Long Point Rd, is offering a full menu, including smoked turkey, scratch biscuits, and pie. Order by Nov. 23 and pick up on Nov. 26. All you have to do is text 713.249.1494 to reserve your feast. (See menu here.)

What’s a holiday without tamales? Tres Amigos Bakery, 10064 Long Point Rd., will have them and will also be open for special hours on the “big day,” Thursday, Nov. 27, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Don’t forget the sweet breads!

Speaking of sweets, Paris Baguette, 1304 Blalock Rd., just unveiled a new cake lineup for the holidays, including Cookie Butter-Topped NY-Style Cheesecake, Caramel-Pecan Chocolate Mousse Cake, Fig Jam & Cream Layer Cake, and Biscoff Cookie Butter Layer Cake.

And what’s a Thanksgiving table without decor? The Spring Branch District’s Freedom Floral is now taking orders for Thanksgiving centerpieces.

Choose from a low-profile centerpiece perfect for the center of your Thanksgiving feast or a taller arrangement to leave that “WOW” factor on your bar or island!

Better yet, grab your friends, co-workers, or neighbors and make this centerpiece yourself at their Thanksgiving Centerpiece Workshop on Nov. 25!
