— Nice Winery, the first commercial production estate wine vineyard inside the Houston city limits, is located right here in the Spring Branch Management District at 10520 Westview.

— Is mom more of a beer drinker? The woman-owned 4J Brewing, 1348 Cedar Post Lane, just celebrated five years in the Spring Branch District. They are not open on Sundays but who says you can’t take mom out for some beers on Saturday? Alternatively, you can buy 4J beer to go.

— Sweet Taste of Texas offers Texas-themed gift boxes for pick up at any time in their Spring Branch District showroom at 110681 Haddington Dr.
Each box contains a pound of their popular glazed pecans. They also have incredible fudge, pralines and more! Check out our story.
— At Las Delicias Mexicanas, 2404 Gessner Rd., buy mom an assortment of traditional, artisanal Mexican candies. You likely won’t find some of the candies anywhere else in town unless they’re in one of this business’ two other Houston-area stores. Get some favorites or new things to sample. Learn more here.

— Kolache Kings is open Sundays and, in addition to tasty kolache, is now serving donuts, fritters and cinnamon rolls! The shop at 1829 Bingle Rd. is affiliated with the nonprofit Kidz Grub. so all those calories you consume are also going for something additionally good. Learn more.

Brunch is no doubt the unofficial meal of Mother’s Day, and the Spring Branch District offers a variety of options for treating your mom. Here are just a few:
— Low Tide Kitchen & Bar, 2030A Bingle Rd., is planning a buffet of tasty land and sea items including pan-seared salmon, chicken and catfish, eggs and pancakes and more. Every mom gets a free mimosa, or a “mom-osa!” The tide rolls in here.
— The Warehouse 72 restaurant, at Marq’E Houston, is offering two special meals for mom — brunch and dinner.
The three-course Mother’s Day brunch menu is available Saturday and Sunday of Mother’s Day weekend, while the Mother’s Day four-course dinner menu is available for three nights for $72 a person May 12-14. Tasty facts.
— NoPo Café, Market & Bar will offer its full brunch menu from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mother’s Day, and each mom will receive a complimentary mimosa or bellini to make her feel extra special.
